Nominations are now being accepted for the 7th annual Virginia Women in Public Finance (Virginia WPF) awards! The Virginia Women in Public Finance Founders’ Awards was created by the Founders of the organization in 2012. To identify potential nominees, please consider all the women you have encountered in the public finance arena, their achievements, leadership, and vision they have demonstrated not only during the past year but throughout their career. All women working in any facet of public finance in Virginia or the District of Columbia are eligible for one of two awards:
1) The Virginia WPF Lifetime Achievement Award will recognize a woman with a well-established career in the public finance field who has consistently demonstrated skill, drive, integrity, and vision throughout her career;
2) The Virginia WPF “Rising Star” Award will recognize a woman involved in the public finance field for 15 years or less whose work demonstrates skill and intelligence for long-term impact in the field.
Honor the contributions of an energetic woman you know by nominating them for the awards today! You do not need to be a member of VA WPF to nominate someone or to receive an award.
Previous nominees who have not won this award in the past are automatically eligible to win without any additional nominations.
